Lately I've had a lot of trouble conceptualizing my Fort Story characters. For all you who don't already know this, the Fort Story (the name will most likely change) is a book I am planning out, that I will eventually publish. Here is a brief summary: There is a tyrant who, with the help of a powerful sorcerer, banishes 12 people from The Fort World (I have yet to think of a proper name) to Earth in order for the tyrant to become the ruler of the enormous and diverse place called The Fort. The 12 banished people are in two separate teams. A devious monster called the Electricity Monster has sent them a message to help them get back, and now both teams must race to gather the pieces of a powerfully magic mask that will open a portal that only 6 people can go through before it is destroyed.

JUDGING:
This contest will be judged on character concepts, ideas, design, and details, not solely on artistic ability. I want you guys to give me ideas, inspire me with your creativity. Don't be afraid to try new things or add to a character (just don't try to change big things like plot, personality, or whole color schemes). Draw them in a new way, with style! I encourage all participants to use reference photos when appropriate or get ideas and help from friends. If you work on the project with someone or get help from someone, the prizes will not be doubled (it will be up to you how you split the prizes).

HOW TO DO IT:
To start, download the template I've made ([link] or [link]. (Feel free to alter it if you want to). Then look through the list of characters and creatures I've made here and choose the one you want to use in the contest. I wrote down a little about each character, but I expect you to write a message to me asking for more information as you need it (if you have a question, DO NOT GUESS). I am more than happy to answer your questions and explain  (I might have you do it slightly different for each character).

NOTIFY ME:
Each contestant needs to tell me that they are entering and what character they are going to do, or they won't be accepted into the contest (I'll make a list on my page, so make sure your name is on it if you want to participate). (If you change your mind about wanting to participate, you can always quit). A character/form of a character can not be done by more than one person, but each contestant can do more than one character, so try to get the one(s) you want first!
As far as the template goes, you don't have to fill out the whole thing, or even color it (But keep in mind that the ones that are most filled out and nicely colored/shaded are most likely to win!)  Sometimes things don't apply to certain characters.

BEFORE YOU START, WAIT:
I need to make sure enough people join, so after you sign up, please wait until I say everyone can go ahead before you start.
